RE: Support for 4585/1, LRB 5968/1 and LRB 5049/1

Dear Legislator,

Free speech is the bedrock of our republic.  We support medical freedom and the right of individuals to make personal health choices in consultation with their doctor.

Northland Freedom Alliance encourages you to consider signing on to several bills currently being circulated.

LRB: 4585/1 and LRB 5968/1 relating to: prohibiting discrimination or retaliation against health care providers by health care entities and credentialing boards for ordering or discussing innovative or novel therapies.

LRB:5049/1 relating to: right of health care providers to express professional opinions related to health or medical information or guidance.

Part of the scientific method includes critical thinking and questioning a hypothesis.  Consistent with the scientific method, it is common practice to ‘get a second opinion’ in the medical community.   Board certified and credentialed Medical Doctors who question traditional therapies and treatments have recently faced threat of termination, retaliation by the medical community and censorship by big tech.  Forced consensus through coercion hinders advancement in public health and tramples on our First Amendment to the Constitution.  We urge consideration and support of these bills.
